This new micro-sized Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is without a doubt the smallest and lightest recording device to mount or carry on yourself during your favorite sports activities. Its solid-state construction means it can be used under harsh conditions, and all video recordings are stored on the internal 128Mb Flash memory, or to an optional SD memory card. Records in Mpeg-4 format in full screen D1 resolution NTSC 720x480 (30 fps) or PAL 720x576 (25 fps) .
This system features a Sony CCD bullet camera rated at 480 TV lines, which is powered directly from the DVR. It has an in-line microphone, so you can record external sound or select the internal DVR mic for more options. Two camera mounts are included, one for helmets and one for handlebars.
The DVR features a 2.5" LCD screen for both monitoring and playback. So it's extremely easy to go out and quickly record some videos, then come back and replay it instantly, without any computer. You can also playback the videos on a larger external TV screen.
Many options are offered to start recording. You can simply press the record button, or have the unit start automatically when there is some movement (motion detect). Also a nice feature is you can start recording even when the unit is powered off! A special slider switch located on the side on the unit let's you cold start the DVR even when it is shut down. Just slide the switch back and forth to enable/disable the recording.
